City of Munford – Board of Mayor and Aldermen – Regular monthly meeting, rescheduled, Municipal building, Monday, December 17, 2001, 6:00 p.m.
Present: Mayor Dwayne Cole; Aldermen Ray Deneka, Bill Lloyd, Jack Foraker, Johnny Crigger, Terry Colin
Absent: Alderman Sue Arthur
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Cole. Alderman Deneka gave the invocation and we said the pledge to the flag. The minutes of November 26, 2001 were approved as distributed.
Old Business and Monthly Departmental Reports -
Ordinance 2001-12-01- An ordinance amending the annual operating budget for the General Fund, State Street Aid Fund and Drug Fund, revenues and expenditures, fiscal year 2000-2001, to reflect twelve (12) month actual as shown in column two (2) of work sheets. There was a motion by Alderman Foraker, seconded by Alderman Colin to adopt Ordinance 2001-12-01 on the second and final reading. Motion carried.
Public Works – None.
Public Safety – None.
General Welfare – None.
Parks & Recreation – None.
NEW BUSINESS
Ordinance _______________ An ordinance amending the official Regional Zoning Map of Munford, Tennessee to rezone property located north of Campground Road and west of Hannah Marie Drive from R (Residential) to C (Commercial). There was a motion by Alderman Colin, seconded by Alderman Deneka to adopt Ordinance _______________ on the first reading. Motion carried.
Public Works – City Manager Neal Hunter is looking for land for the city to purchase which would be suitable for an elevated water storage tank.
Public Safety - Alderman Foraker plans to have a Public Safety Committee meeting around the first part of January 2002, to discuss and initiate some long range plans and discussions regarding public safety, police and fire services. Also, he plans to discuss some capital improvement issues regarding the growth we are experiencing.

General Welfare - Alderman Crigger called a General Welfare committee meeting for Thursday, January 17, 2002 at 8:30 a.m. During this meeting Alderman Foraker would like to discuss some budget issues and where we are on the budget. The committee will also meet with Mr. Ronnie Neil, MTAS Consultant, and discuss updating the Municipal Code.
Parks & Recreation – None.
Financial reports - There was a motion by Alderman Crigger, seconded by Alderman Foraker to accept the financial report as distributed. Motion carried.
Checks over $10,000.00 – There was a motion by Alderman Foraker, seconded by Alderman Deneka to approve checks over $10,000.00. (See list attached.) Motion carried.
Alderman Colin commented that the Christmas Parade was great. Mayor Cole thanked each department for their participation in decorating the city for the Christmas Holidays and for their involvement in the parade.
There was a motion by Alderman Foraker to adjourn at 6:25 p.m.
