Mayor Cole called the October 28, 2002 meeting to order. We said the pledge to the flag.
The invocation was given by Alderman Jack Foraker. The minutes of September 23,
2002 were approved as stated.
Miss Tipton County, Megan Massey, had requested to speak, but was unable to attend.
Mayor Cole opened the floor for the public forum. Mr. Gary Fodor spoke about debris
being left on the road after an accident. He also voiced concern over the teenage speeders
in his neighborhood and them not having any respect for the neighbors. He stated there
were some potholes on his street that needed repair. Mayor Cole asked Chief Harger to
address these concerns. Chief Harger stated that it is the tow truck driver’s responsibility
to clean up the debris after an accident. He stated that he has not had any complaints
about the tow truck drivers in the last two years. He said he has not received any
complaints about the teenagers being disruptive, but if Mr. Fodor would supply him with
license plate numbers he would check into it. Alderman Foraker asked him if he had
contacted the police when they are actually doing something wrong. Alderman Colin
asked him which streets need repair. He said there were some repairs needed on
Aberdeen and Gretna Green.
