Mission of the City of Munford Parks & Recreation Department:
To provide leisure and recreation while preserving the natural settings of the area for the enjoyment of all and future generations.
In other words, the Department strives:
To provide a parks and recreation system that is responsible and directed by the needs of people of Munford.
To preserve, protect and enhance the city's park lands and public green spaces as a way to improve the physical and mental health of the people of Munford.
To invite and encourage individuals, families, schools, businesses and other community groups to become partners in our efforts to invigorate and sustain the city's natural and leisure resources.
