Awards Grants to Community Organizations

Each year, Celebrate Munford awards grants to area organizations that improve the quality of life for the citizens of Tipton County.  Some past recipients include American Legion Post 67 - Boys State, Carl Perkins Center for Prevention of Child Abuse, Tipton County Commission on Aging, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Girls State, Imagination Library, Dyersburg State Community College, Tipton County Education Foundation, Tipton County Arts Council and Tipton County Literacy Council.

Celebrate makes total donations of more than $15,000 each year to the community. These include three $1500 scholarships to deserving seniors who attend the Munford High School district, a fireworks display at Celebrate Independence, numerous donations to community organizations and host the Celebrate Christmas parade where new toys are collected through "Fill-the-Sleigh," and distributed to children in need through Tipton Cares. On-going support is also made to the Munford-Tipton County Public Memorial Library through proceeds of the Celebrate Munford 5K Run/Walk held annually in August.

Celebrate Munford Incorporated is a 501c-3, non-profit organization that hosts seasonal events as a way of fostering community, building relationships and providing scholarships and grants.
