Race sponsors encourage all school age children to get in on the fun with the "School Challenge". Tipton County tradition has it that this race is a competition among schools with students from each school competing for a 4 foot tall trophy. The school with the most participation in either the "5 K” or the "Kid’s 1 Mile Fun Run" will be declared the winning school and will keep the trophy for a year. PLUS, they get to claim bragging rights. Note: To adhere to TSSAA regulations, Cross Country Athletes will run 3.2 miles. We encourage full team participation OR individual students may participate! It is very important that students indicate the name of their school on their registration forms.

Walkers are welcome for either race and can compete in the "School Challenge".

Residents along the race route are encouraged to cheer for the participants and/or turn on your water sprinklers for the runners.
