CELEBRATE MUNFORD 2002

Celebrate Munford, Inc. is a non-profit group of citizens from the
community, not only from the City of Munford, but also from the surrounding
areas as well. All money raised by this organization is returned to the
community through its programs, events, and scholarships.

The President of Celebrate Munford for 2002 is Diane Williams.  You may reach her by e-mail at
ROSE3DEE@aol.com or by calling 837-6261. The Committee is always looking for people who may be interested in
joining this small, but effective group and would be enthusiastic about leading the event into new endeavors and achievements for the community.

This organization sponsors special events for the public to enjoy each
year. For the past fifteen years, Celebrate Munford has sponsored the
Munford Arts & Crafts Fair in September. The fair is a day-long event that
is held in the downtown area of Munford and features vending areas for
local artists to sell and show off their works. It also features two
entertainment stages, one full of gospel music and the other with a
multitude of talent in areas of music and dance. This event is held on the
second Saturday of September each year. Vendors are encouraged to attend
and sign up for a booth space for a nominal fee based on what the vendor is
offering for sale or advertisement.
Celebrate Munford also sponsors a spectacular event in July called
Celebrate Independence. During this evening show, the public is invited to
bring a family style picnic on the grounds at the Munford City Park on
College Street and enjoy the music of the United States Navy Band. Then,
during the finale of the band's performance a spectacular display of
fireworks which can be seen for miles around is enjoyed by all. This event
takes place every 4th of July.

The Celebrate Munford group also is proud to sponsor three Munford High
School Seniors during their first year at College. The Munford Scholarship
Fund provides $1,500 to three seniors who complete a comprehensive
application and interview process each year. The scholarships are designed
to assist students who can show a financial need and plan to attend college
somewhere in the State of Tennessee.

If you have any questions or comments or suggestions regarding Celebrate
Munford, please contact either Diane Williams at the e-mail address or phone number listed above, or any other member of the committee.

**Special Note: The Arts & Crafts Festival will be held on September 14, 2002. More information will be posted as it becomes available. Vendors and interested parties should consult this website for further updates or contact Ms. Williams at the e-mail address listed above!
